Buffalo State Graduate Direct Admissions Program

    Direct Admissions allows graduating seniors at Buffalo State to secure conditional admission before graduation in select graduate and advanced degree programs. Interested students will need to complete the form below to indicate a primary and secondary graduate degree program of interest. Students interested in a graduate program outside their current undergraduate major are encouraged to meet with the corresponding department to assure fit and career goal alignment.

    Eligible students will receive a decision before the start of the fall 2025 semester which will indicate conditional admission to either your primary or secondary program of interest. The conditional admissions letter will indicate the conditions of the student’s admission into the graduate program. Conditions for full admission may include:

    • Student maintains a 2.75 GPA*
      • 3.0 for all degree programs in Education & other select programs*
      • 2.9 for Forensic Science, M.S.*
    • Conferred bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State University
    • Good academic standing
    • Additional conditions as outlined in their provisional admissions letter, including prerequisites coursework.
    • Completion of free Graduate Admissions application before August 1st
